This BLOG will try to keep track of the events and happenings of Ronnie and family as well as the Blackhawk Motorcycle Club Inc. and the Post #163 Legion Riders. Studebakers and The Studebaker Drivers Club will pop up once in a while too.
10-01-2007 I went to Cowboys to have a new front tire installed. Cowboy opens at 10 and shortly after 11 I was on my way to Palmer, Ames, St Joe and Miltonville to get pictures for the Been There files. Palmer, Ames and St. Joe were cool and the riding was great. Temps were starting to get in the upper 70's. Two miles south of St. Joe Kansas on a gravel road I could tell the rear tire, the new one, was getting low. After stopping and looking at the tire I decided it was twice as big as it should be for the amount of air that was in it. I turned around and rode back to St. Joe. I found a guy shingling his house and he had an air compressor for the nail gun. He filled up the tire and headed for Clyde. No one in Clyde could fix the tire so I called Cowboy. Cowboy sent his sister down with a pickup and trailer and we got the bike back to the shop. Looks like the tube is bad from the manufacturer.

As of Oct 1, 2007, I am 65, have retired from the Engineering Dept of Landoll Corp for 2 months and ride a Harley. I enjoy messing with Studebakers and have a shop in Home (or Home City) Kansas. The shop is an old brick 3 room School House on about one acre of land. (Big enough for about 20 Studebakers)
I had a vending route consisting of Video games, pinballs, jukeboxes and pool tables. The route is about gone now but I still have 3 locations and a dozen games and tables.
I have a wife named Carla, two daughters, Ronda age 41 lives in Mexico City and her husband is General Manager of the Marriott Hotel there. Stacy 40, lives in Lincoln, Nebraska and in the middle of a divorce and moving to a new house in Lincoln.
We also have a son who was killed in a car wreck at age 23. The accident happened in 1988 and his memory still lives with us.
